Educator, Activist, Mom, Leader

Debra Clinton is proud to call Gardiner home. A fourth-generation resident, lifelong educator, and current Legislator for District 16, Debra has spent her career putting people first. She and her husband are raising two college students, and she knows firsthand the challenges families face every day.

Since being elected in 2023, Debra has delivered real results. She’s fought to expand affordable housing, improve EMS and transportation services, support food pantries, and protect the natural resources that make Ulster County such a special place to live. Currently, she serves on key committees, including Economic Development, Housing and Transportation, and Law Enforcement and Public Safety, bringing a practical, no-nonsense approach to solving problems and getting things done.

Now, Debra is running for reelection because there’s more work ahead. She’s committed to expanding services in Southern Ulster, promoting sustainable growth, and tackling long-term challenges like solid waste management. Above all, she believes local government should be fair, effective, and responsive to the people it serves.

Debra has always stood up for our community, and with your support, she’ll keep fighting for Gardiner, Plattekill, and all of Ulster County.

Let’s move forward together.
