Educator, Activist, Mom, Leader
Debra Gregg Clinton grew up on her family’s farm in Gardiner and has remained in the community to raise her family. Debra earned degrees from SUNY New Paltz and, after college, taught government and politics at New Paltz High School. Since 2009, she has served as Principal of Marlboro Middle School. A natural problem-solver, Debra taught her students to actively exercise their citizenship and be the change they want to see. She is now walking the talk by running for public office.
Debra is best known for her activism on the environment, good government, and women’s rights with her founding of the local group, Move Forward New York, a community-activist organization. Debra also currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Gardiner Democratic Committee.
